About
Leicester, Leicestershire
The site on which Hotel Brooklyn was built in 1915, was the training halls for Leicester’s Army recruits during World War I. Granby Halls subsequently became an exhibition, sports and entertainment venue, featuring big names such as The Who, Deep Purple, the Rolling Stones and The Police, hosting the Home Life Exhibition, boxing tournaments, the Riders Basketball team, roller-skating and radio shows.
They’re hoping that Hotel Brooklyn Leicester will become just as much off a focal point for fun and games as the old Granby Halls. Inspired by the New York borough, Hotel Brooklyn is a slice of vintage Big Apple in the centre of Leicester. Perfectly placed, a free-kick from the King Power Stadium and a short punt from the University. Guests can enjoy unpretentious theatre-style dining in the restaurant or relax with a cocktail and listen to records from the in-house collection.
Accommodation
Club Twin or Double Standard Double room with King size Bed, with 2 Single beds or 1 King size Bed, work desk, air conditioning, free wifi, ensuite shower room, tea and coffee facilities as well as in-room fridge, Smart TV and personal safe.
Dining
Come, take a seat and enjoy a big bite of life from an authentic Brooklyn menu. The 120-cover Lair is the place where all the big beasts gather, while the Grandstand is a kick-back kind of space where you can take a drink, enjoy a tune, fire up your laptop, and sink into one of the big comfy sofas or armchairs. At The Lair, you’ll love their dynamic, inventive, Brooklyn-inspired menu – this is where the real Leicester tigers come and earn their stripes. It’s somewhere to be overfed and overindulged, with a dynamic menu combining much-loved British classics with a sprinkling of Big Apple swagger.
This is a pet-friendly hotel. There is limited availability of their rooms for pets and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
